Picked up the sniper at TRU today - and

Although I am not a fan of military based figures, for no other reason than they just interest me, my brother is really into them and wanted the Sniper, so I thought I'd surprise him and send it to him since he still lives in backwater podunk Alabama and the sun could stop shining and they wouldn't know it for a couple of more years....


I had to really feel proud for the items I choose to collect as when I went to pick it up, they had them on display besides the Larger GI Joes figures and some others (I think from BBI) - nothing against the others as I do collect the smaller GI Joes and can see the love for he larger ones - but man was there a diference! Almost laughable with the standard that is now set for Military figures.

I almost gave in a and bought the set, but then I am obligated to get two of the Dragons sets later this year, so I had to beg off [img]wink.gif[/img]

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Couldn't agree more. If a standard has been set (and Sculpey may want to argue about the 12" doll soldiers) the Military line is it. The detail from the packs to the boots, from the guns to the belts is first rate. I got the box set but havn't opened it.

Did see today at GameStop though some of the "variants". African-American versions. Boy I almost bought another set. Still have to get the Air Force and Marines Corp figs. [img]graemlins/thumbs_up.gif[/img]
